The St. Margaret’s Bay Community Enterprise Centre (CEC), located at Unit 1, 5229 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Upper Tantallon is the Information Centre (Location 1) for the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts Studio Tour. Usually open on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the CEC is open the same hours as the Studio Tour on the second weekend during the Festival. Studio Tour Maps, Passports, and information about Festival events are available at this location.
July Members’ Show
The PCAAS Members’ Art Show runs from July 2 to July 31, and helps to keep a little of the Festival energy going throughout the month.
The July Members’ Show is held at the CEC and offers PCAAS members the chance to exhibit one piece of art at Location #1 (Information Centre) on the Studio Tour. For artists participating in the full Studio Tour, this piece will be labeled with their tour location—an excellent way to draw visitors to their studio for more. Those not on the tour can still be part of the event, sharing a sample of their work and being part of the tour.
The Credit Union Atlantic (CUA) in Tantallon offers a second location for additional works submitted to the July Members’ Show. This allows PCAAS to offer space for more members to participate. The CUA is open Mondays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Artists receive 100% of the proceeds from any artwork sold.
All PCAAS members are welcome to take part by submitting one piece of art for display. To register your piece, use the link below. Note that space is limited. Once capacity is reached, registration will be closed, so prompt registration is required.
Volunteering Opportunity
We recognize that the July Festival weekends are already very busy for PCAAS members, but artists who are not on the Studio Tour have a great opportunity to volunteer for a 3-hour shift at the CEC during the Festival and meet with community members on the tour. Volunteers work in pairs, with our goal being to pair an artist with an art appreciator for each team. Please contact us if you are interested in taking a volunteer shift at contactpcafa@gmail.com.
