Wildlife Paintings and Prints
R. J. Marchand is inspired by the natural world. His work, which combines both abstraction and realism, often includes animals, suggesting a mystical relationship between the animal and the observer.
Inspired by the natural world of his native province, R. J. Marchand has been working for thirty years almost exclusively in acrylics, inks, and watercolours. His realistic portrayals of animals and birds are the hallmark of his work. Since opening his studio in Black Point, seascapes and marine birds have become a regular feature of many of his paintings. His work can be found at 14 Bells Gallery in the Hydrostone Market and at his studio.
