Barbara Wilkes – Miniaturist
Barbara creates one-of-a-kind Miniature Multi Medium Dioramas/Room Boxes in 1/12 scale and is inspired by her imagination and the world around her. Her humour shows in the smallest of details.
Barbara is self-taught and has been creating her award-winning one-of-a-kind Miniature Dioramas in 1″=1′ scale for over 10 years. She has been gratified to have some of her work featured in Miniature magazines. She can be spotted scouring beaches for inspiring flotsam and kelp and picking interesting moss and wild plants. Her husband’s workshop is a cornucopia of tiny parts to include in her pieces. Each piece has its own original story.
