Flags For Food: Art and more to support the food bank
Over $2,000 was raised for the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank at Flags For Food: A Harvest Gathering and Fundraiser, held on October 21 at the SMB Community Enterprise Centre.
Thirty small art flags created by Peggy’s Cove Area Art Society members were for sale, along with preserves, baked goods, and donated jewellery and books.
Partnering with PCAAS on the event were Bay Seniors and the Western Halifax Community Learning Network.
