David Smith – DWS Fine Art

David Smith is a passionate artist who finds inspiration in capturing the beautiful skies and countryside around him. If it’s not snowing, he can be found plein art painting at Peggy’s Cove. His first Plein Art ‘Paint Peggy’s Cove’ was 2025 and he has been hooked ever since.

David uses acrylic paints on stretched canvas and canvas boards. Blending paints to create bright vibrant skies and detailed landscapes producing a unique style of painting.

His art can be viewed, by appointment, at the Double Door gallery in Indian Harbour. He is also mentioned, featuring a photo of him plein art painting at Peggy’s Cove, at Discover Halifax – Outside Arts.
