Xander Martel – Artist
Xander paints local landscapes, often incorporating pop culture and geek scenes within the landscape, using acrylic on canvas.
Raised in BC, Xander received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Metal and Blacksmithing at Kootenay School of the Arts. He worked as a metal artist in Nelson, BC, before moving to Vancouver to work in the TV and film industry. After relocating to NS in 2018, he reconnected with art in form of paintings and Cosplay. Xander’s love of film and TV is a big influence in a lot of his art and sets him apart from other scenic artists. Besides painting, Xander also loves to create detailed costumes for Cosplay.
