Janet Fralick, Beacon of Light, Hooking Folk Art

Janet Fralick – Artisan

Janet loves taking antique chairs & footstools and turniing them into beautiful rug hooked pieces of art. Janet makes coasters, pillows and more. St Margaret’s Bay and nature has influenced her art!

Janet has lived in St Margaret’s Bay her whole life. She loves walking the shores and getting out in nature. This helps her feel what her art will look like. Her Metis background also can be seen in her pieces. Janet learned to hook in 2006 when the rug hooking museum in Hubbards was looking for 50 students to learn the art. Her teacher Pat took her and her Mom into her home and taught them the Art. “We fell in love with rug hooking right away!”
