The Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts is a celebration of our local talent, and a labour of love from our communities. That’s why volunteers are integral to the success of this event, and help bring the Festival to life.

Festival Information Centre

This new centre, located at the Crossroads Corner (Hwy 3 & Hwy 333), will be open every day from June 20 to July 6th, between 10 am and 5 pm.  We are looking for volunteers to work shifts.  The main task will be greeting visitors and telling them about the Festival.  Artworks on display will be available for sale, so processing these sales will be another responsibility.

Signage Team

Sandwich board signs set up in locations along Highways 3, 329, and 333 direct our visitors to events throughout the 10 day festival.  We are looking for individuals to volunteer with setting up signs in the week prior to the festival, changing the information on the signs part way through the week, and picking up the signs at the end of the festival.  If you have access to a truck or large car, please let us know.

Paint Peggy’s Cove

Consider joining us as a volunteer during the three days of plein air painting in Peggy’s Cove. Our mighty volunteers get to interact with participating artists, tourists and local citizens helping out with the art show, assisting the artists and promoting our event with tourists and locals alike. It is an amazing experience. We’re looking for people to volunteer with:

Yurt Helper greeting visitors, receiving/inventorying/wrapping art
Runner interacting with artists on-site, bringing art into the Yurt
Sales Desk Helper conducting and recording sales, electronically and by hand
Children’s Art Tent Helper assisting children and managing supplies
Shuttle Driver driving volunteers to and from site from drop off point

Please join us in this vibrant arts event!

Opening Reception

Volunteers at this event help by selling 50/50 tickets, collecting tickets at the door, setting up displays, and helping with take down.
